About Us

Founded in 2018, the Social Enterprise Group at Cornell (SEGC) is an undergraduate consulting organization at Cornell University dedicated to finding market-driven solutions to the most pressing societal challenges. Through our hands-on, pro-bono consulting services, we develop the most impactful solutions to social, environmental, and economic issues, helping aid organizations on accelerating their social impact missions.

Education

Our Education Series leverages the expertise of alumni, students, Cornell faculty, and industry leaders to offer lectures on social enterprise, problem-solving frameworks, and presentation skills. New members collaborate in teams to develop their own social enterprises, exploring innovative solutions to real-world issues. Additionally, our Professional Growth Initiative helps members prepare for internships with practice interviews, networking advice, and resume reviews.

Strategy Consulting

SEGC partners with social enterprises, for-profit, and nonprofit organizations to solve problems with real community impact. We prioritize companies that embrace the triple bottom line—people, planet, and profit—believing that sustainable practices lead to long-term success. By aligning our consulting with these values, we help clients create effective, impactful solutions that drive meaningful change.

Social Good

Our students are dedicated to making an impact beyond the classroom. We recruit for drive and skill set, but what's most important to our team above all is demonstrated passion for improving one's communities and driving social business impact.
